Multiple clock-in to same shift (track breaks)

Client wrote that employee clocked-in and accidentally clocked out. She wanted to clock-in again to same shift. But we don't show clock-in button anymore.
Same problem when in middle of the day they need to leave for some period of time and want to continue with shift after coming back.

I would need employees to be able to track their breaks/lunches and deduct these from worked hours. For example, an employee can mark somehow if the employee leaves work at 12:30 and returns at 13:05. As a result, 35 minutes will be deducted from his worked hours.
Why are the existing breaks/lunches tracking options not suitable? At the moment you can determine how much time is automatically deducted from each shift. This does not suit us because in reality not all breaks/lunches are always with exactly same duration. Sometimes breaks/lunches are shorter, sometimes longer.
In addition, at the end of shift, the employee can submit whether and how long he was on break/lunch. This does not suit us because the employee has to remember during the day how long he was on break. It may happen that the employee cannot remember it exactly.

My working day was 11:30-21:30. During this time I left for emergency reasons (for 2 hours). It wasn't a break. Later I came back to work. I would like to reflect this in my schedule, somehow more conveniently. For example, there could be an option where I can clock in and out twice a day, if needed. At the moment I can clock in and out only once.
