As a manager, I’d like to receive an automatic alert (via email or in-app notification) when an employee fails to clock in for their scheduled shift within a configurable grace period (e.g., 5 or 10 minutes after the scheduled start time).
This would help us quickly identify no-shows or forgotten clock-ins, allowing us to take timely action—like finding a replacement or checking in with the employee.
Ideal functionality:
  • Ability to set a grace period for when a shift is considered missed.
  • Alert is triggered only if the employee had a scheduled shift and hasn’t clocked in.
This feature would be especially useful in high-turnover industries like hospitality and events, where last-minute coverage is common and operational disruption from a no-show can be costly.
